Rev. Dr. Ebony D. Only is a preacher, pastoral counselor, coach, bridge-builder, healer, panelist and presenter. She is the first African American women to be ordained as clergy and serve as executive pastor at First Baptist Church of University Park in University Park, IL, and is the inaugural community chaplain for Bishop Anderson House where she was instrumental in establishing the Committee on Social Equity and Racial Justice. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Chicago State University, Master of Arts in Human Resources from Fort Hays State University, Master of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership from Lee University School of Religion and the Doctor in Ministry Degree from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University and is currently preparing to be licensed in Marriage & Family Therapy with a specialization in Trauma Informed Systemic Therapy. Dr. Only is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and Eureka Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
